Thank you for your interest in considering a commission piece with me!
I am currently only accepting bird portrait commission pieces created in the realistic 'thread painted' style. Full details about the process are outlined below.
Custom slots will be released periodically on my website (right here!). Each piece I make takes up to 20 hours to complete, meaning I can only release a small amount of spots at a time. Please do not be disappointed if you miss out on securing a place, there will be more in the future! The best way to be notified about when spots are released is to sign up to my mailing list. The sign up form can be found at the bottom of all pages on my website.
Commission pieces are held to the same no return or refund policy as the rest of my work and cannot be purchased on layaway. Before commiting to a commision purchase, please familiarise yourself with my store policy page.

- Price $380NZD + shipping.
After Your Purchase
After your have purchased a commission slot, I will need you to send me some information via email.
Please let me know what bird you would like me to make. If you have a reference picture please send this through too (for example, this could be of a family pet or a picture of a bird you like). If sending through photos, please take note of the photo guidelines written below. I am happy to find my own references if you would just like to pick a bird and let me do the rest!
Please provide one close, un-cropped photograph of your bird. Profile shots are a good option as they show off the beak and the feather variations throughout the face and back of the head.
Photographs cannot be blurry and need to show as much detail as possible. The more detail I can see, the more I can put in to your portrait.
If possible, have the photo taken at eye level. This is much more complimentary to the portrait.
If possible, have the photo taken in natural sunlight without flash. Try to avoid having any shadows or harsh highlights on the face.
Additional photos may be requested for colour referencing.
I understand that in some circumstances you are not able to take another photo of your pet. In this scenario I will do my absolute best to work with the photo/s you provide and may use other reference photos to help determine smaller details (such as feather direction and colour matching).
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to email me :)
