Shipping and Policies
Full payment must be received before I can ship an item to you. Layaway payment options are also available (see bottom of page).
The currency used at checkout and to display shipping prices is $NZD. (This is why when you check out, the amount may be different to what you see when browsing in your own currency)
Upon receiving payment, ready made items will be shipped within 5 working days. For pre-order items, please refer to the listing for dispatch time estimates. Embroideries will be packaged in a bubble wrapped envelope or cardboard box. Recycled materials may be used as further padding. Prints are sent in a reinforced envelope.
All postage prices stated on listings are an estimated average. If the postage cost ends up being overcharged by more than $3NZD, I will notify you and refund the extra money. I do not profit from shipping costs.
All parcels sent within New Zealand are posted via New Zealand Post and will be provided with a tracking number.
The current cost for domestic shipping is $10NZD.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - STANDARD POST
Shipping costs on every listing under $200NZD in value have the option of being shipped by standard mail. This service DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
Standard air mail can take UP TO TWO MONTHS TO ARRIVE and is not recommended if you want your item delivered in a timely manner.
The current shipping costs for standard non-tracked international parcels are $10NZD to Australia and $19NZD for the rest of the world.
By choosing the standard post option the buyer accepts the risks of a non tracked parcel service and long delivery times.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - COURIER POST
Items priced above $200NZD can only be sent via International Courier. This is a mandatory requirement set by NZ Post in order to qualify for insurance. This service DOES INCLUDE TRACKING. International Courier has an estimated delivery time of 2 - 6 working days.
The current shipping costs for tracked international parcels are $30NZD to Australia and $53NZD for the rest of the world.
Please keep in mind that with both delivery methods your parcel will have to pass through customs and there may be possible delays such as weekends or bad weather that can extend the delivery time.
For legality reasons, items will be labelled as 'Merchandise' on the customs form and the full value of the parcel will be declared. This must be done in order to be eligible for compensation in the event that your parcel goes missing. All parcels are fully insured.
I am not responsible for any taxes/duties/customs that may be incurred on your parcel once it enters your country. International buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred. If you have concerns about this, please familiarise yourself with your countries customs policies before you make a purchase.
LOSS AND DAMAGES
I cannot accept responsibility for items damaged or lost in the post. Once it has left my possession, the parcel is out of my control! If your parcel has a tracking number, it pays to keep an eye on it to avoid missed deliveries.
In the unlikely event that your item is damaged or lost, please contact me immediately so I can put in a claim with NZ post. They will conduct an investigation and will provide compensation if they see fit.
If you are an International customer and are concerned about postage, I highly recommend opting for the courier shipping so your parcel can be tracked.
RETURNS / EXCHANGES /REPLACEMENT
Due to the one of a kind nature of my work, I cannot accept returns, exchanges or replacements on any item. Please consider thoroughly before making a purchase.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you would like any further information on an item before making a purchase.
In the very unlikely event that you receive a defective product through artist error (not caused by damages in the shipping process) please contact me within 2 days of receiving your item with photographs and a description of the issue. Any claims made outside this time period will not be accepted. A refund may be possible dependent on the situation and once the item has been shipped back to me in its original packaging and condition. The return shipping will be the buyers responsibility.
A huge amount of care is put into accurately representing my work and I cannot accept colour variation as a 'defective' product claim. Colours may appear differently between your monitor settings and real life.
I am not responsible if the buyer provides a wrong address and/or a parcel is returned to be because of an incorrect address or missed delivery. In this event a refund will not be issued. The buyer will have to repay the shipping costs that the carrier charges to return the parcel to me, as well as shipping costs to re-send to the buyer (in short, you will end up paying three times the original postage paid if you want your item resent).
LAYAWAY PAYMENT OPTIONS
I offer layaway payment options on ready to ship items priced at $200NZD or more.
Layaway payment plans will take place through the Paypal invoice system. There is a non-refundable $50NZD deposit that is required upfront.
Payments will be spread across a 30 or 60 day timeframe (buyers choice). The buyer has control over making deposits of $50NZD (or more) at any time during this period - this is to eliminate the hassle of waiting for me to send separate invoices, but also means you are responsible for keeping on top of your payments!
You can opt out of the layaway at any time and will be refunded your payment amount minus the deposit. Similarly, if you fail to meet the payment deadline you will be refunded your payment amount minus the deposit.
Your order will not be shipped until payment has been made in full (including shipping).
Current courier shipping costs on orders over $200NZD are listed above. Please take this in to consideration when requesting a layaway payment plan.
Please email me if you would like to purchase an item on layaway so I can take it down from the website and create your invoice.Layaway is not available on custom or pre-order items. .
